He went to the school where I grew up. I think he started at Luton and we were really proud. When he played for Everton we were dumb struck.

That game was on the 28th October 1978.
We had a day trip to Brighton that day, winning 2-1.
The day started out a bit frosty, so I took my jumper, but by midday it had warmed up considerably, and I had to wear the jumper around my waist.
I thought people would like to know that.

RIP Andy. Lovely bloke. Lived in Markyate near Luton. Went out with my sister-in-law when he played for Luton. Met him a couple of times many years ago. Makes me seem old. Bye bye Andy.
